What we collect
Account details (name, email, optional phone and UPI ID), your listings and bookings (vehicle numbers, time windows, amounts), saved vehicles and favorites, reviews you write, and technical logs needed to run and secure the service (such as IP-based rate limiting).
How we use it
Only to operate ParkEase: matching drivers with parking spaces, sharing booking details between the driver and the space owner (the owner sees your name, vehicle number and booking window; you see the owner's name and phone after booking), sending in-app notifications, and preventing abuse. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
Payments
ParkEase processes no payments. Parking charges are settled directly between you and the space owner at the location (cash or your own UPI app). Any platform listing fees are billed to owners outside the app.
Your rights (DPDP Act, 2023)
From your profile you can download everything we store about you (data export) and permanently delete your account, which erases your personal data and cascades to your bookings, listings, reviews and favorites. You can correct your details at any time from the profile page.
Retention & security
Data is kept while your account exists. Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes; sessions use signed, httpOnly cookies; access to owner and admin functions is role-checked on every request.
